I have been, since Monday, nearly bed-ridden with a combination of a cold and Bronchitus attack. My energy level is very low and I keep losing my voice every so often. J also has a very bad cold. Today is the first day this week, that I've eaten three meals. I've mainly been drinking V-8 low sodium juice and coffee and water. Hot tomato soup yesterday & the day before. Been taking dayquil and nitequil. We were at Frank & Marti's for our last summer cook-out, and Frank was ill with a bronchitus attack and Marti, had a cold, so it's their fault J and I are ill this week. This is not what I had planned for the week.
Also, I found this free bowling game on the net, and I am "hooked" on it. It ain't as easy as it looks. My highest score so far, is about 210. My lowest so far, is 88(That was the first game I played.)
I have tried every way I know, to pick up 7 - 10 splits, but haven't done it yet.
So they say this is Autumn. It feels more like summer. Due to lack of rain, water levels are near record low, plants and trees are nearly dehydrated. But the weeds - how they do grow. I don't know how, but the tree leaves still hang on. Though, they do look a little wilted. They are all turned down, begging for rain.
Tomorrow, I plan on staying up after I have my morning coffee. Whether or not I accomplish anything, is, another question.

To the aroma of coffee brewing
I awake and make my way
to the kitchen table.
I watch the news
read the views
make out the list to do
Got up late so
brunch will have to do
Take out the dog
feed her too
chores will have to wait
the soaps are on.
It's tea at two
something sweet
while Rush Limbaugh speaks.
The weekend comes
take out the papers and trash
the chores will have to wait
time for the Nascar race.
Another week begun
more chores to be done
with all these interruptions
how will I ever

4 - NEWS AND VIEWS:
The current congress of the United States, is wasting taxpayers time and money, trying to censure free speech. First, they sent time condemning Move-on.org, for depicting General Petreaus as General betray us. Well that was tantamount to treason. But still, free speech. Then last week, two words uttered by Rush Limbaugh were taken out of context as calling all our men and women in uniform "phony soldiers." In fact, I heard that phone conversation and, re-viewed the you-tube video. He was referring to a soldier, that was trotted out, telling everyone, he served in Iraq, won the purple heart, and bore witness to our soldiers, beating, raping and killing women and children. The fact is, that soldier was in the military for 44 days and kicked out of boot camp. He never went to Iraq, did not receive the purple heart, and, never witnessed any of the atrocities he spoke of. There are others whjo, also claim to be veterans of the Iraqui war, and they never went to Iraq either. These are the ones, Rush called Phony Soldiers, and they are. Harry Reid, got up and claimed that Rush had gone over the line, and, that he had no right to call John Murtha and Wesley Clark, treasonous. John Murtha once compared our brave military personel to Nazi's, and Wesley Clark, if you remember, joined the defense team of Saddam Hussein.
All this is an attmept to back door the fairness doctrine in broadcasting. That would mean, that Rush Limbaugh, Michael Savage, Sean Hannity and others, would have to give equal time to opposing views. This would kill talk radio, and we would in all probability, be subjected to long infomercials and "elevator music." Just imagine that on Sunday Morning, you are watching Sunday Morning Mass or another Sunday Service of another denomination, and then, it breaks in with an aethiests point of view, then, a wicken point of view, and after that, a moslem point of view. it was then and is now a stupid idea that should never see the light of day, ever again.
5 - HUMOR: Things to question:
1 - Why does a round pizza come, in a square box?
2 - What disease did cured ham have?
3 - Why is that we say "I slept like a baby," when most babies wake up like every two hours?
4 - Why is someone IN a movie but, ON television.
5 - Why is "bra" cingular, but, "panties" are plural
6 - Do the Alphabet song and Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, have the same melody?
7 - Why did you just try singing the two songs above?
