Never mind scary Halloween Movies @ 03:37 pm

Current Mood: indescribable

WELCOME:

1 - Obama versus FOX News
2 - HEALTH CARE
3 - CAP & TRADE
4 - THE INTERNET
5 - THE UN
6 - THE FAIRNESS DOCTRINE
7 - SUMMING UP

1 -     Never mind scary halloween movies, there's scarier stuff on the way from the Barrack Hussein Obama administration:

First of all, they are slandering FOX News and, asking the other TV News Networks to do the same.  FOX News has the highest viewership of all the other TV News networks.

Glenn Beck has been attacking the so called Tsars appointed by Obama.  Obama's henchmen claimed that he was making stuff up, so, Glenn installed a red phone, with a direct line to the white House and begged the administration to call and tell him where he stated an untruth.  So far, beck has not received a phone call.  The only response from ther White House, is to slander Fox News.

Here are some other things ObamA and his henchmen are trying to do:

2 - HEALTH CARE:

Whatever the final bill turns out to be, health insurance rates will skyrocket, forcing most everyone onto the government controlled health care.  The flaws in this plan will, Eventualy result in fewer doctors, overcrowded hospitals and waiting lists for necessary tests and care, especialy for the elderly (HEALTH CARE RATIONING.)  Patients may not even be able to get needed medication for things like arthritus, heart medications and etc.
We're still not sure if those collecting Social Security will ber able to own their own policies, or will be forced to take the government plan.
Also, I,ve heard from some experts that if, the government health care plan is passed, then, Blue Cross/Sheild will no longer exist.

3 - CAP AND TRADE BILL

Whatever the final bill will be, your utility bills will double, maybe even triple.  It will affect everything you purchase.  Food, Clothes, Movie tickets, and etc.
With both the Health Care Plan and the Cap and trade plan, your taxes will rise to a level never before seen in world history.

4 - THE INTERNET:

The Obama administration is looking into ways that they can control the internet.  Not only web sites, but ways to track your personal websites, blogs and purchases.  Maybe, even install some kind of program that will control personal computers and laptops, and Cell Phone surfing.

5 - THE UN:

The Supreme Court has already granted the EPA carte blanche authority to, wihtout congressional legislation, to do Cap & Trade rules and regulations.   Now, next month, the UN is having a meeting, to draw up a world wide cap & trade legislation, and since our government loves the cap & trade idea, the Obama administration, will go along with whatever comes out of the UN.  This means that, the United states wil lose it's sovereinty.

6 - THE FAIRNESS DOCTRINE:

Once again,  This is being proposed, under a different name called "Local Diversity."  This is an attempt to kill free speech on the radio waves.  If passed in the congress, when you tune in to your favorite station, all you'll hear is music and propaganda for the Obama administration.

7 - SUMMING UP:

If all this sounds familiar, it's because Barrak Hussein Obama, members of his Administration and so called "Tsars," are true Marxists(Communists.)
It's going to take every one who loves freedom to be aware of what  's going on in Washington, be informed with facts, get involved by writing letters to your congressmen, learning about candidates running for local and federal government office, and doing what you can, to help those candidates that believe in our constitution, to get elected.   Maybe even get involved with the tea party movement.  Your future and America's, depend upon it.

WELCOME:

"SOLTICE"

Carnivals and parades
have all passed by

Summer's greenery begins to fade
June's flowers fade and wilt

Poets' lines have all been rhymed
Last year's songs
have all been sung
Summer loves have come and gone

It's an anniversary of sorts
Another summer gone.

Seasons fold and unfold

grow cold and make up
with sunshine smiles.
Like lovers
they are individual yet
compliment each other.

Who is running the government and what it means for you @ 11:27 am

Current Location: Syracuse, NY
Current Mood: thoughtful
Current Music: None at the moment

Welcome:  First of all, I would like to make clear, that I do not always agree with the talk show hosts I mention.  I am neither a republican nor a Democrat. I am not a Communist, nor a progressive.  I believe in our Constitution and the freedoms it expresses, for all Americans.

I do not belong to any political party.

I believe in God, Jesus and the Bible.

1 - America's Security:

After saying he would not, Attorney General, Eric Holder is investigating the CIA.  What will happen is that our Agents names, CIA operations will be be publicly exposed, possibly, even their foreign contacts.  No country in the world and no informants, will share their information, there-by making our ability to fight the war on terror an impoossible task.

Also, everytime Barrack Hussein Obama visits a foreign country and/or, meets with foreign dignitaries, he apologizes for the United States.

Contrary to the leftist propaganda, all of our actions have been to free the oppressed living under brutal dictators and regimes,  Also, when natural disasters hit other countries, we are the first ones to offer aid, both medical and monetary and, other supplies.  We are the most generous country in the world.

Barrack Hussein Obama has already taken interrogations of errorists out of the hands of the CIA, and put in the hands of the aloready stretched and stressed FBI, with another Barrqck appointed panel overseeing the FBI.

I therefore, once that happens, predict,  we will have another major terrorist attack on the United States.

2 - WHO IS WRITING THE HEALTH CARE & CAP & TRADE PROPOSALS:

Barrack Hussein Obama is an empty suit.  The real power behind him are the following:

The Apollo Alliance:  This is a well documented  communist organization

Acorn & Its many subsidiaries:  These people are socialists and progressives

The Tsars: Some of them come from the Apollo Alliance.  Some of them are ex-convicts and the rest are tax dodgers and they all have nefarious backgrounds.  None of them haver been vetted by Congress or the FBI.

3 - WHY YOU SHOULD FEAR OUR CURRENT GOVERNMENT:

If the cap & trade bill and the Helath care bill are passed, Utility bills, all  goods and services, and taxes will double and triple.

It won't happen right away, but eventually, the governhment will force you to buy the vehicles they want you to buy, they force you on totally  Government paid health care, withemphasis not on care, but the cost of care and whether your condition and age warrant any care at all.

There is already a war being waged on Chritianity and the Jewish religion, led by the ACLU.  Eventually, all religions will be banned by the Government, except of course, the Moslem Religion.  Our Government is afraid of the moslem religion.

Our national security is at risk, beause of Barrack Hussein Obama's continuing aopologies, and, this latest investigation of the CIA, his insistance on closing Gitmo, and the ACLU's interferance to try these less than human terrorists in U. S. criminal courts instead of military tribunals.

4 - WHAT CAN WE DO TO STOP OBAMA AND HIS RADICAL CRONES FROM TAKING OVER:

Learn the truth of what I have written search the web, read the books that are mentioned of Fox & Friends, Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh and Michael Savage.

Listen to Glenn Beck on WSYR, 570, from 9AM to 12 Noon.
Watch Glenn Beck on Fox, Syracuse Cable Channel 38.
Visit Glenn Beck at
www.glennbeck.com he has the names and backgrounds of these Obama appointees and much more information. You can read much of this information, without being a member.

Rush Limbaugh on WSYR 570, from 12 noon to 3PM.
Visit Rush at www.rushlimbaugh.com you can read transcripts of his show, without being a member.

Michael Saage can be heard on WSYR, 570, from 10PM - Midnight, unless there's a Yankee game being broadcast.

All three of these people have researchers and detectives, acquiring information, that takes months, someimes years, to accumulate.

It is important for us to be well informed of what's going on behind closed doors and behind the headlines.

This current aminstration and congress are a very real threat to our freedom and we must be prepared to question, protest and if necessary, to take up arms to protect our families and freedom.

I pray that Glenn Beck is wrong(so does he) but, the facts are proving otherwise.

Health Care Plan - The Real Goal @ 04:14 pm

Hi . . . Welcome:

Proposed in the Health Care Plan, includes tax paid abortions and limited care for those sixty five and older.   The reason they want to let the elderly die off, is because our current health care system is allowing us to live longer  lives and allowing the elderly to just die off would reduce the cost of medicare & medicaid.

Also in the health care plan, is limited care for Pregnant women.  Again, to reduce the population, to a more manageable size.

There will be a government board set up(Non-medical persons) to decide what medications are appropriate, what medical proceedures are appropriate and they will tell doctors, hospitals and pharmacies, how much they will be paid.

The AMA which is NOT representative of most physicians and hospitals is in favor for this health care bill, so, don't be fooled by their backing of the proposed bill.

While there may be problems with our current Health care, it is still the best in the world.  When this mafia-like administration gets through with changing America, we will all be slaves to the government.

Our elected reporesentatives in both the House & senate, are either Ignorant, stupid or lazy.  They don't understand that all these so called "czar" appointees, is taking away their power and circumventing the United States Constitution.

Your children are already being indoctrinated by public schools, universities, colleges and the news media.

Most people are too busy trying to earn a living & raising their families to be as informed as they should be.

OUR ELECTED OFFICIALS ARE GOING BACK TO THEIR RESPECTIVE DISTRICTS, SO, WHEN YOU HEAR ABOUT TOWN HALL MEETINGS IN YOUR AREA, DO YOUR VERY BEST TO ATTEND AND TELL THEM NO ON HEALTH CARE, AND TO WISE UP TO WHAT OBAMA AND HIS CRONES ARE REALLY DOING.  iF THEY DON'T ACT SOON, THEY WILL BE IRRELEVANT.

Hi:  Welcome:
1 - INTRODUCTION

2 - THE COP & PROFESSOR

3 - POEM

1 - INTRODUCTION

For those who are reading my blog for the first time, I sometimes post poetry I and others have written, giving credit to those composers other than those I create.

Also, I give my opinion on both national and local issues, as well as true information I can verify.

I also insert humor at times.

I will at times do famous birthdays, music reviews and being a race fan, NASCAR news and
views.

2 - THE COP & THE PROFESSOR:

I have listened and read, very carefully, to all the pundents about racism in America.

Barrack Hussein Obama, should not have said what he said.  However, I believe it was a scripted answer, to give himself "street creds" with many in the "black" communities.  Either that, or he is a racist.

Most of the pundents I heard on television and radio, were inteligent, well educated black men, and all of them were basically defending the professor, so I ask, who is more racist, blacks or whites?  I say most of the racism is coming from the black community.

First of all, The Professor(Gates,) was wrong in both his actions and verbal tirade.

It doesn't matter where you are, what color you are or, what you're doing, if a police officer asks for your identification, if you have nothing to hide, comply with his request.
Second of all, once he checks your ID, chances are, he's going to leave you alone, (unless of course, you've committed a traffic violation or some other crime.)  The best thing to do, is to keep your mouth shut and let him walk away.   Ifyou feel you have been unjustly treated, you complain to that officer's superior, and then, to a lawyer If you feel circumstances warrant legal action.

Perhaps, the arrest of Gates was a littler over the top, but, according to his neighbors, he was obnoxious, loud and verbally abusive to the officer, and that constitutes Disturbing the peace.  It is a very fine legal line, and is up to police officers on the scene to make that judgement.   The charges were, dropped.

Obama owes the entire nation an apology for his statements. And, especially to the Boston police department, for saying they acted stupidly.

POEM:  "MOONSTRUCK"  Tuesday - 7 July 2009 - 20:23:32

Remember
When the night
star and moonlight
held mystery and intrigue?

First,
we'd sit in the balcony
watcing the picture show
searching for something
we didn't yet know.
Too soon to call it love
not far enough to call it sex.

Then came the cars and
drive in picture shows
a drive to places dark
down by the lake to park
eploring forbidden places
that took us to desire.

Then to moonlight and roses
and all those things
that exposed us.

We couldn't know
didn't know
it wouldn't last.

It was the walk on the moon
that killed the romance.

To those questions not asking
you begin the search for answers
And the lessons they've learned
soon are forgotten
as bombs set the world on fire
and blood runs into the river

Your nights grow longer
and your sleep grows shorter
and those things you remember
put a chill on the summer and
you wonder now if
Suzanne still lives by the river

While you wandered onward
in search for the perfect answer
did she leave you or
did you leave her and
did you go too far or
not far enough

Now comes to mind another lyric
but your tired eyes grow weary
and the pen slips from your fingers
and into that final sleep
you know your drifting and
except for those that you left us
those questions still not asking
they go still unanswered.

3 - OUR CURRENT GOVERNMENT(Federal)

1 - MICHAEL JACKSON:

First of all, MY CONDOLENCES TO ALL THE JACKSON FAMILY AND FANS.
Although I wasn't a fan of Michael's music. he was a great entertainer and musically, broke ground for entertainers who folowed. Acvcording to many sources I've heard these past few days, Michael was a gentle and shy soul. He doted on his three children.

I never did believe the child molestation accusations.

We don't yet know his actual cause of death, but if you go on line and read Lisa Marie's comments on My Space, she says he was, like her father, addicted to prescription medications and drugs.

No matter how he died, he went much too early and he will be dearly missed by his family, friends, fans and, much of the entertainment world.

He was and, will remain, "The King of Pop."

2 - JOE WHITING:

Several years ago, Syracuse had "Dollar Days." It was quite an event. All the downtown stores had for sale, stuff on the sidewalk. Along with that, they had live entertainment. Thats where I first heard and saw "Jumpin'" Joe Whiting. He was doing, with a live orchestra, dressed in a white jump suit, pop standards, rock and roll and blues.

Then, a few years later, I saw Joe again performing downtown, this time, with his own band. It wasn't untill later, I learned that he and Mark Doyle were partners in writing original songs. Anyhow, since seeing he and his band for the first ti8me, I have been a fan. When I had my AOL Journal, I did a review of "The Truth." A re-uniting of Mark & Joe. It's a great CD. Mark helped write the songs and he mixed the tracks as well.

Last night, J and I went to Inner Harbor, here in Syracuse where Joe was to sing with "The
Stan Collela Orchestra." Well, Joe and the band have a new CD called "This Life." All the tracks are new original songs, except for 1 track. Also, it is a "Live" in studio recording. I put "Live" in quotes, because, he did say there was some overdubbing, but very little.

If you've never seen Joe or Mark perform, go to YouTube, type in Joe Whiting and you can see a few of his live performances with Mark on guitar. There's also a documentary on Joe and Mark.

Let's not forget other members of the band. There's Terry Quill on guitar. Excellent musician and getting better, if, that's possible. There's Brian Barrigar on bass guitar who replaced his brother Loren. Then the guy that keeps them all together, on the drums Frank DeFonda. On the CD. Loren makes a guest appearance.

Anyhow as soon as I get a chance, I will review the CD, and post my thoughts for all to read.

3 - OUR5 CURRENT GOVERNMENT(Federal)

First of all, I am very thankful to have been born in and raised in The United States Of America.

I asm also thankful for the time period that I have and am living in.

Having said that, our current government(both parties) are shredding the Constitution. They are in essence, killing the very things that made America the greatest country on earth.

The Cap & Trade Bill, Energy Bill, and Government Paid Health Care, If passed by both houses, will mean the death of this great nation.

I do not trust Barrack Hussein Obama to keep this country safe from terrorists attacks. I think he's a wuss when it comes to foreign policy. I believed him to be a Marxist(Communist) from the first time I heard him on the campaign trail. His actions, so far, have proved it. The entire Democratic party and most of the Republicans have fallen for the myth, that Mankind can control the weather. Well, we can't.

If Barrack gets all that he wants, we're all going to be standing in bread lines for food, that is, if you get the health care you need to survive.

I have gone from a liberal(I was considered a liberal because I believed in Civil Rights,)then to a registered Democrat to an Independant voter. NJow, I think I'm becoming a libertarian, because, the only thing I want the government involved in, is security of our Nation. If handled properly, Social Security is very much needed, for legal citizens who have contributed.

More on these and others, next posting.

Pray othose in Government, suddenly, become overwhelmed with "Common Sense." (Glen Beck's latest book. Which by the way, was and is flying off the shelves.)

First full day of spring. @ 08:42 pm

Current Location: Syracuse
Current Mood: lethargic
Current Music: None at the moment

So the day begins.
You're full of hope
maybe even inspiration.
Birds are singing
some are winging
You're feeling good

It's spring.

You run your first errand.
The vehicle needs inspecting.
You take it in
wanting two tires
new mirror and
state inspection
come back home
have your breakfest
and then
the phone rings.
It's the mechanic
he says the spring is broken
needs replacing also adds
another spring and
adds struts to the mix.
this he says will balance the car properly

I wonder what happened
and then
I remember
It's Monday.

So, can you count to a little over $1400. Oh yeah, they found a hole in the right front tire, so that makes three tires they replaced.

Now this is on top of a few months ago when I took it in to get the alternator replaced, and they wound up replacing plugs and wires, battery and another mirror. That one was a little over $1200.

Now I'm thinking that the place where we bought the car, didn't check it out, or if they did, they didn't put any repair work into it.

In addition to all the repairs our mechanic made to the car, he tells me I'm going to need new brake pads shortly.

All this in addition to what it cost us to move in April & May.

The company that handles J's pension check, changed banks, and, the new bank changed the due date of her pension check. She received one check at the beginning of June, and now, she won't be receiving another, until the end of July.

We're still arranging stuff, repacking stuff, and sorting out the stuff we no longer want or need.

Hi . . . Welcome:

It's been a strange few months.  Packing for a move, making several trips from our old apartment to the new;  hiring movers for the big stuff; getting the tv and hone connections up[ & running;  unpacking, figuring out where everything goes, as the new apartment is a little smaller than the last.

We are not yet completley settled.  Lots of stuff in plastic bins in the cellar have to be sorted into yardsale stuff.

I cannot seem to get two days in a row to plan, sort and place our stuff.  Between going to the banks, grocery shopping and running my helper on his errands.

And then, the place where we had our taxes done, sends us a letter that the information on their computers has been hacked into and we may be suceptable to identity theft.  Now, I have to take time to call these places provided by them, to report that possibility.  Then, I have to go to the local DMV to report that possibility.

My creative side has had to be put on hold and I'm Not in very good temperament.

I do keep up on the news and what is being done by the current federal government is real scary.  Over 600,000 jobs a month being lost, and more to come in the near future.

The government (Barrack Hussein Obama's administration is going run General Motors and Chrysler by people who have never owned or operated a business.)

The people who help these business's, mainly the stockholders, are being shut out.  The biggest problem to the Auto Makers, are the Unions, and they get 38% of the company.

The ones who sell the cars (Dealers) are being threatened by closure.  Even the profitable dealers.  This will cause economic havoc on local governments by way of tax loss, local businesses like retaurants, parts supply, even some local mechanics, will be affected.  Not to mention, that local governments will have to make up that lost revenue with higher taxes.

The outlook for the United States of America is looking pretty bleak.

If Obama's health care plan is passed, what will that do to private insurance companies?

Will those on Social Security be forced to give up their health care plans and go on the government paid health care plan?

Will the government;s plan cover dental care?

If a person needs surgery, how long will they have to wait?

The most affected, will be the elderly.  If they need life saving care, will they get it?

It's going to be one big mess

All we can do is pray that Congress and Obama regain common sense and stop borrowing the money to pay for all this stuff.

That's it for now . . . talk at you soon . . . 'til then, pray for our troops, pray for our country and may the GOOD LORD take a liking to you and yours.

1 - JOURNAL:

Last summer, we moved into our present apartment.  We knew our landlord had some medical problems, but we didn't know how bad he really was.

last week, he informed us that he was going into an assisted living aartment and his relatatives, will handle the sale of the poperty.

We are now living in limbo, until we find out if and when the property is sold, who buys it and, whether or not we can stay here.

So, I have had a case of the lethargics and, not accomplishing  much of anything.

The only thing that keeps me from going into complete laziness, is knowing that there are others, much worse off than we.

After having time to think about it, i've decided to go ahead and live as if we don't have to worry about moving, but at the same tiome, take steps to prepare, like packing away stuff we seldom use.   Thankfully, I haven't unpacked our LP albums.

I'll refrain from putting up shelves until we definately know what's going to happen.

2 - EASTER:

I cannot believe how early the calendar shows Ash Wednesday & Easter.

My lent begins the day after St. Patrick's day and my Easter is the first Sunday in May.
All my New Year's resolutions will re-start.

3 - OPINION:

Our president and current congress is leading this country into socialism.  A system that throughout the world, has always failed.   Under socialism, very few people enjoy a lifestyle where they are lucky to have a radio, let alone a TV or computer.  Very few people own their own business or homes.  Most everything they have belongs to the government, and everything they have, comes from the government or government owned stores.

We have seen how well the governmnet handles money, and now, they want to own the banks?  Whatever cash you have, keep it out of the banks.  You're better off stuffing it in your mattress or putting it in your freezer.  It may not earn interest, but you won't lose it either.

4 - POEM:  "HOW TO PAINT YOUR FRIENDS" BY Edwin Brock from "Invisibility Is The Art Of Survival" / Published by New Directions / last copyright - 1972

Having learned
to draw
dark glasses
and a fair
simulation
of hair
you need only
one brushful
of that white paint
which does not
drip
covers in one coat
and dries
in a day
to a hard gloss
suface
which is washable
and will last
a lifetime.

Will be posting more often, and, hopefully, earlier in the day.

'till then, pray for America and, may the GOOD LORD, take a liking to you and yours.

Hi . . . Welcome

The gremlins continue . . . I have been working on my computer for the past few days.  First of all, AOL discontinued their Mcafee free virus & spyware rotection.  My computer went berserk.

The first thing that I lost, was the printer.  I spent an entire evening, trying to get it back.

Then, almost everything I tried to do on line, wouldn't load or would only load a partial window of the site.

I had use the computer's built in recovery and have spent all this time deleting programs I don't need nor use.   Now I have a free Norton virus program, and right off the bat, it found a virus and a trojan.

I had download spybot, adaware and cc cleaner.

Some programs were still on the computer, but I had to use the windows search program to fine them.

I had to download all my music programs and for some reason, i lost all the libraries.

This morning, I was downloading a few songs and Norton found a virus and wouldn't let the song download.  McAfee used to cean out the virus and allow the songs to download.  Fortuneately, I found the song on another music site.

Anyhow, the computer seems to be working okay.

Oh yeah, I had to download AOL again, but a different version.  It's really fast.

I don't wish computer crashes on anyone.  It's time consuming and nerve racking re-programming  yourself, and very expensive if you hire a "geek."

Now I can get back to a "normal" routine.

People who create these viruses and trojans should have their fingers cut off.   They are terrorists as far as I'm concerned.

Hope your week has been better than mine.

Hi . . . Welcome to my journal/blog . . .

The gremlins are attacking:   The first attack, is when the bank bounced 2 of my checks, three times.  Ive gone through my records, and still can't figure out what happened.  This happened, the last week of December.  Now, we're behind in all of our bills and, I'm starting to get phone calls.

Then, about ten days ago, the "check engine" light in the car came on.  It was overdue for an oil change and lube job, so, I checked all the fluids, and the oil was low, so Iput 2 quarts in and the light was still on.  The next day, I took in for the oil and lube, the light still came on.  So, finally, this past Monday, I took it in for repair.   They called and said I needed new sparkplugs and wires, a switch module for the warning ding, that tells you the lights are still on when you turn off the engine and open the door.  They fixed those two itmes, and I went to pick up the car.  While I waited, they took it for a test drive, came back and opened the hood, and, the engine was smoking.  I came home, and waited for the next phone call.  They had to replace the coil pack, and, put in a new battery.  Also, they have to replace the passenger side view mirror, as mother hit one of those poles they have in parking lots, that hold the handicapped signs.  After all that, with labor and taxes:  can you say twelve hudred dollars and change.

So, the day after we got the car back, we went to file our taxes.   Waited about an hour just to discover we had the wrong 1099R. so,  we had to wait for the 401K company to send us the proper one.  It came today.

I really was getting a lot done around the apartment, until all this stuff happened.   It just "takes the wind our of your sails" when all this stuff happens.

Now, I have to restart all my New Years resolutions.  When I get hit like this by the "gremlins" I smoke more, eat more and get a severe case of the lethargics(laziness.)

I did manage to download some music and put it on CD for some belated Christmas gifts for the guy that helped us move and his wife.  Also, I got a little creative and have a couple of poems working.

Things between J and mother are cool but civil, at least for the moment.  You never know when J's temper is going to explode.

My advice to all you young people out there is to get a job and buy enough insurance, so if your parents are not able to keep their homes due to illness or just old age, that you'll be able to put them in Assisted living quarters or reputable nursing homes.

It's not easy if they have to live with you and your wife.

Talk at you soon . . . 'til then . . . Pray that the educated idiots in Washington, get some common sense and do what's right for the country instead of their petty agendas.

Hi . . . Welcome to my journal/blog:

1 - OPINION

2 - NEWS

3 - JOURNAL

4 - FOOD FOR THOUGHT

5 - CLOSING

1 - OPINION:

I know that tomorrow is an historical day, especially for the black communities and organizations.  Personally, to me, it's just another transition of the Presidency.

I think the amount of money being spent on the ceremonies, celebrations and balls, is totally obscene.

I think the money spent on political campaigns is obscene.   The founders of this country meant the House of Representatives and the Senate, to be open to average people.  The cost is prohibitive to most people and, a waste of money

Also, the scrutiny of the media is so intense, that people with the qualifications and desire to serve the people, are to intimidated by the media.  Maybe not for themselves, but, for their families.  Just look at what they did to Sarah Palin and her family.

For the past few presidential campaigns, I have often said, that the best man for the job, isn't even running for the office of president.

2 - NEWS:

President Bush has finally pardoned the two border guards who were railoaded by an over zealous prosecuter.  The trial was a sham.  The guy they shot in the ass, was a drug dealer, and the jury wasn't given that information.  As far as I am concerned, when they are seen crossing our border, they should all be shot.  It is after all, an invasion.

3 - JOURNAL:

Today, we packed the Christmas plates and took them back to the attic.

Took some other stuff up to the attic for storage, until we decide what to do with them.

Now, we can concentrate arranging stuff and settling in.

I ran an errand or two, just locally in the neighorhood. Watched the news and after I finish this, I'm going to plan the rest of the month.

I have started my diet. I take Cindy out more often.  Now, I have to start my exercise program and then, the no smoking campaign.  I do make a daily plan while I watch the news, and so far, for the most part, I have stuck to the plan.

4 - FOOD FOR THOUGHT:

Fruits of your passions, can be bitter, can be sweet or, something in between, like bread and butter pickles.

5 - 'til next time:  Pray for Israel's victory.  Pray for our troops and that they be victorious.  May the Good Lord take a liking to you and yours.

Hi . . . Welcome to my journal/blog:

I sort of took the day off from doing necessary things and recorded music I've downloaded.  Today it was George Jones and Tammy Wynette and others he's recorded with.

I do wish that some of these people who upload music to these sights, knew who the singers were.  Sometimes they don't know, or, they upload the wrong song after making the tags.

I'm working on new poetry while the songs are recording.

Tomorrow, I begin my New Year's resolutions in earnest.  Most of our holiday food is gone, and I can start my diet & exercise program.

When I begin my no-smoking campaign, I'm going to have to find something to keep my hands busy, like plastic canvas projects or latch hooking.   Maybe I'll design & hook another wall hanging.

I do know, to accomplish all that has to be done and all that I'd like to do, I'm going to have to buckle down and manage my time  much better than I have been.  Of course, If I'm successful at quitting smoking, my energy level should rise.   Even more, if I lose weight as well.

Starting tomorrow I'll do my best to get back to my old journal/blog format, with news, poetry, humor and some other fun stuff.

I haven't figured out the melody yet, but here's some lyrics I'm working:

"NO EASY ROAD TO LOVE"
Saturday - 17 January 2009 -
15:31:11

First you have to woo her
with candy flowers and gum
Take her to the movies and
fancy restaurants

Don't try to out-guess her
she'll keep you on your toes
Her lips and eyes won't tell you
what you want to know

She'll play coy and shy
until you make your move then
she'll play angry and
tell you to go

Then you got to woo her
with candy flowers and gum
take her to the movies and
fancy restaurants

Now if you pop the question and
she says she will and does
from that moment on
she becomes someone you don't know:
one day she's your angel and
the next, a screaming shrew

Easy street is just a name and
there ain't no easy road to love.

                               Alphonso Sendio

Pray for Israel's victory and pray for our troops.  Maty the Good Lord take a liking to you and yours.

Hi . . . Welcome to my Journal/Blog:

1 - JOURNAL

3 - FOOD FOR THOUGHT

4 - CLOSING

1 - The other night, I was viewing the Michigan Snowman earthcam, and saw an unusual sight.  Deer are normally very skittish animals, however, there were two deer grazing and there were two squirrels and a wild turkey feeding.  Not only were they feeding in the same area, but the squirrels were moving between the deer legs as they stopped and grazed.  Also, the wild turkey sometimes would walk underneath the deers' belly.  I am sometimes amazed at the tolerance of wild animals.

Last week, in one of Kim Komando's video of the day, there was this sanctuary that housed elephants and this one elephant, instead of befriending another elephant, chose to be friends with the owner's dog.  When the dog became ill, that elephant stood outside the property owner's house, and waited for the dog to get well.  Oh, and the elephant wouldn't eat, until the owner brought the dog outside and let the elephant see that his friend was ok.

ccomplished except to go to the bank, the drug store and the grocery store.  I did manage to I got out for her constitutional.up late today, so I didn't get much aget a couple of the holiday decorations back up to the attic.  And take the dog

2 - NEWS:

Tonight, President Bush gave his farewell speech to the Nation.  I didn't watch it, but I did see his last address to the
press  Corps.

Also, confirmation hearings were going on in the Congrees for Obama's appointees.  So far, his first choice for Sec. of Education has dropped out.  Another of Obama's appointees, failed to pay his taxes for two years, and didn't pay them until Obama nominated him.  His appointee to head up the EPA(Environmental Protection Agency) is an out and out socialist, so, you can expect sometime in the
near future, to be taxed for yours and your pets farts.

America is dying, and no-one in position to save it, seems to care.

In the next post, I will list a few enemies to our freedoms, guaranteed by the constitution.

3 - FOOD FOR THOUGHT:

Freedom is the most fragile thing in/on the planet.

4 - CLOSING

Pray for Israel's victory and pray for our troops.  May the Good Lord take a liking to you and yours.

Hi. . . Welcome to my Journal/Blog

I Apologize for not posting last night, and from now on, I make no promises of doing anything on a Monday.  It's just not a good day for me.

No one answered the Elvis Trivia:

1 - What year was Elvis officially declared a millionaire?

After filing his 1956 tax returns, he was officially declared a millionaire.   It was only two years, after making his first recording for Sun records.

2 - On what book, was the movie "King Creole" based?

It was a book called "A Stone For Danny Fisher."

3 - How many takes did it take for Elvis to record "Hound Dog."

The story is, that Elvis didn't like the song, and it took RCA several weeks to convince him to record it.  Once in the studio, Elvis did 30 takes of the song and chose the 28th take for the recording.

Today, we finally took the Christmas decorations down.  They're all packed, and some are back it the attic.  There's a couple plastic bins that will be taken up tomorrow.
I'm tired, so, 'til next time:

Pray for Israel's victory, for our troops in harm's way.  May the Good Lord take a liking to you and yours.

Hi . . . Welcome to my blog/journal

1 - JOURNAL
2 - POEM:  "Elvis In Hell"
3 - TRIVIA
4 - FOOD FOR THOUGHT
5 - CLOSING AND QUOTE CREDIT

1 - JOURNAL:
So, I began the day making coffee, watching the morning news, had breakfeast and took the dog out.  Then I rolled loose change, finished recording some gift CD's and making the inserts.  I went to the bank and made a deposit.  While driving back home, I suddenly got sleepy so, instead of running more errands, I came home and stretched out in bed.  I didn't really sleep. It was more of a short "cat-nap."

I got up and made another pot of coffee, had lunch and began picking up and organizing the den/computer room.  It's also where I have a couple of latch hook wall hangings that I made.  One of them I designed and hooked.  I call it "American Trilogy."
It's grey and blue background with three diamond shapes.  One large and 2 small.  Each one is red, white & blue with a gold cross in the center of each.  Two golden eagle shapes in the left and right corner.  I made this a few years ago while recuperating from my gall bladder operation.  Of course, it was insoired by Elvis' recording of the song.

2 - POEM:  "ELVIS IN HELL"  Michael Waterson (From Poetry.com)

on days when he is not condemned to shake
      off death and rise again
before the startled rear view gaze of
      white-line-wired big riggers highballing
           through peoria or
reflected in the window shopping reverie
of a Tulsa football window, he's
imprisoned in a velvet painting in El Paso or
                 a plaster statuette in Nashville,
a t-shirt on the rack or cursed with
       impersonators, harpies in white
            spangled belts
drawling old songs that scald
       like bacon grease.
But  evening brings real agony when
       night lights up the strip,
no headliner, just a warm-up, he
opens every night for the big marquee,
the boss of mephistopheles,
who sets 'em howling with lines like:
Take my dignity . . . please.

3 - TRIVIA:  (No fair looking it up)

Since Thursday was Elvis Presley's birthday(He would have been 78,)I thought I'd put out a couple
Elvis Trivia Questions:

1 -
In What year was Elvis officially declared a Millionaire?

2 - What book was "King Creole" based?

3 - How many takes did it take Elvis to record "Hound Dog?"

I'll post the answers on Monday.  If anyone replies with the right answers, I'll give acknowlegement.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT:  Heroism is ordinary people in extraordinary circumstances doing what needs to be done when it needs doing.

I'll start posting humor and other fun stuff on Monday.

'til then:  Pray for Israel to be victorious as well as our troops in harm's way.
"May the Good Lord take a liking to you and yours."(This is the quote that Gary Moore used to close one of his shows.  Another that I like is "Be very kind to each other out there.") In case you don't know, Gary Moore was the origianl game host of "I've Got A Secret."  He also had an hour long variety show, where, Carol Burnette got her big break in TV.
